Terms and Conditions
Helix AI Algorithm, S.L. · Last updated: 25 August 2026 · Version 2026-08-25
These are the single Terms and Conditions for all Helix products and services: the website, the early-access list and the Helix mobile application. They also serve as the legal notice for the website. Please read them before browsing the website, joining the early-access list, creating an account or using the application.
1. Who we are

2. What these Terms cover
These Terms apply to:
- The website helixai.life and its public subdomains, which present Helix, its team, its research direction and its products.
- The early-access list available through the website.
- The Helix mobile application and the account-based services provided through it.
Information about planned or in-development functionality is provided for informational purposes only and does not guarantee that a particular feature will launch on a particular date. Any additional conditions displayed for a paid or third-party feature also apply to that feature.
Scope of the current version. These Terms govern the service as it is provided in the current version of the application. If Helix adds functionality in the future that involves new sources of information or processing of your data different from that described in the Privacy Policy, these Terms will be updated and, where applicable, specific consent will be requested from you before activating them.
3. Acceptance
By browsing the website, joining the early-access list, creating an account or using the application, you accept these Terms and confirm that you have read the Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use the website, the early-access list or the application.
Your acceptance is collected expressly during registration. The version of these Terms in force, with its date and identifier, is permanently accessible at helixai.life, where you can also consult and save it; if you need a copy of the document under which your contract was formalised, you can request it at info@helixai.life. The language of the contract is Spanish.
4. Who can use Helix
To create an account or join the early-access list you must be at least 18 years old and able to accept these Terms on your own behalf.
You must provide truthful information and use the application only for yourself, unless Helix expressly authorises another type of account. You may not enter another person's health data.
If we detect that an account belongs to a person under 18, we will suspend it and delete the associated data.
5. Intended users, and who Helix is not designed for
Helix is designed for adults who consider themselves healthy and want to understand and improve their lifestyle habits.
Helix is not designed or intended for:
- People under 18 years of age.
- People with a diagnosed illness, undergoing medical or pharmacological treatment, or under active clinical follow-up, for the purpose of managing that illness or that treatment.
- People with a history or suspicion of an eating disorder.
- Healthcare professionals, as a tool to support clinical decisions, screening, triage or patient monitoring.
- Any use in the context of a medical emergency.
If you belong to one of these groups and decide to use the application anyway, do so only as general information and consult your healthcare professional before changing your diet, your physical activity, your medication or your habits.
6. What Helix does and does not do
Helix does the following: it organises information that you provide — your answers about your lifestyle and the lab values that you upload — presents it in an understandable way, calculates wellness indicators, and generates educational content, general lifestyle recommendations on sleep, physical activity, nutrition and stress management, a 30-day action plan and a supportive conversational assistant.
Helix does not do the following, and must not be understood or used as if it did:
- It does not detect, diagnose, screen for or rule out illnesses.
- It does not clinically interpret your lab results, nor state that a value indicates a pathology.
- It does not predict the onset of illnesses or health events.
- It does not monitor chronic illnesses or the response to a treatment.
- It does not prescribe, recommend or adjust medication, supplements or diagnostic tests.
- It does not replace or support the judgement of a healthcare professional.
Helix is a wellness application and not a medical device. It is not subject to CE marking as a medical device, and it has not been clinically evaluated for a medical purpose.
7. Wellness service and medical disclaimer
Helix offers wellness information, self-knowledge and education in healthy habits, based on the information you provide. The content published on the public website is general information about wellness, longevity research and technology in development.
Helix is not a healthcare provider and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions or emergency services.
Results and recommendations may be incomplete and inaccurate. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before acting on information that may affect your health. Nothing you see here should lead you to delay a consultation.
Changes in diet, physical activity, sleep or habits have different effects on each person. If you have any health condition, take medication or notice new symptoms, consult your doctor before following any suggestion from the application.
8. The nature of the results shown by the application
So that you can correctly assess what you see on screen, we distinguish four types of information:
a) Information you declare. Your answers to the wellness questionnaire. Helix does not verify them. The quality of everything else depends on their accuracy.
b) Values automatically extracted from your lab reports. When you upload a laboratory report as a PDF or an image, Helix uses optical character recognition and artificial-intelligence models to identify biomarkers, values, units and ranges. These values are proposed drafts, not verified readings. They may contain transcription errors, unit confusion or incorrect assignment of reference ranges.
It is your responsibility to review and confirm each value before it is used. Only the values you confirm are used in the rest of the application. We recommend that you always compare what the application shows with your original laboratory report, which is the valid document.
c) Estimated or imputed values. When a piece of data needed to calculate an indicator is missing, Helix may estimate it from your profile using a statistical model. The application indicates when this happens. An indicator calculated with estimated values is less reliable than one calculated with complete, confirmed values.
d) Indicators and generated content. Wellness scores, the biological age estimate, biomarker explanations, recommendations and the action plan are results calculated or generated by Helix.
Regarding the biological age estimate and the wellness scores in particular: they are wellness and motivation metrics, built from formulas and models published in the scientific literature. They are not clinical biomarkers, they are not diagnostic or prognostic indicators, they are not clinically validated for you as an individual, they do not predict morbidity or mortality, and they must not be used to make any medical decision.
9. Content generated by artificial intelligence
Part of the content in Helix is generated or assisted by artificial intelligence. The application informs you when you are interacting with an AI system, in accordance with Article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689.
AI results are probabilistic and may contain errors, inaccuracies or outdated statements. They must not be treated as a definitive medical conclusion. You remain responsible for evaluating the information and for obtaining professional advice where appropriate.
Helix uses both its own models and third-party models. How AI processing works, where it takes place and which providers are involved is described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Limits of the conversational assistant
The Helix conversational assistant is limited by design. Specifically:
- It declines requests for diagnosis and treatment.
- It does not interpret your laboratory values as an indication of illness.
- It does not recommend starting, stopping or changing any medication or supplement.
- It does not classify symptoms into probable illnesses, nor perform triage.
- It refers you to a healthcare professional when the question goes beyond the scope of wellness.
These limitations are intentional and form part of the purpose of the product. Do not attempt to circumvent them, and do not interpret a response from the assistant as a medical assessment of your case.
11. Emergencies and values that worry you
If a value in your lab report worries you, or if you have symptoms, consult your doctor or your health centre. For urgent symptoms or an emergency, contact your local emergency services: in Spain and throughout the European Union, 112.
12. Information and files you provide
You retain ownership of the information and files you provide. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive and revocable right to host, copy, process and transform that material only to the extent necessary to provide, protect, maintain and improve the requested service, in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
You confirm that you have the right to provide the material and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Do not provide another person's health data or confidential material without legitimate authorisation.
The data you provide is mostly health-related data, a special category of personal data. Its processing is governed by the Privacy Policy and, where the legal basis is consent, that consent is requested specifically and may be withdrawn at any time.
Always keep your original laboratory reports. The application is not a medical file or clinical history, and it must not be your only record of this information.
13. Suggestions and feedback
If you send us suggestions, ideas or comments about the service, we may use them to improve Helix without any obligation to compensate you or to acknowledge authorship, and without this obliging us to maintain confidentiality over them.
This does not affect the information and files covered by section 12, which remain yours. We do not acquire ownership of your data merely because you write to us.
14. Acceptable use
You may browse the website and use the application for lawful personal purposes. You must not:
- Use the website, the early-access list or the application unlawfully, fraudulently, or to harm another person.
- Interfere with the website or the application, attempt unauthorised access, probe security, introduce malicious code or disrupt the service.
- Extract data by automated means, reverse engineer, reproduce or commercially exploit the service, except as expressly permitted by law.
- Send malicious content, misuse the early-access list, or impersonate another person.
- Present Helix results as professional medical advice, or use the application to provide unauthorised clinical services to third parties.
- Use the application or its results to make decisions about people, including hiring, insurance or credit decisions.
- Upload material that infringes rights, violates privacy or contains malicious code.
- Circumvent usage, access or subscription restrictions.
- Attempt to make the conversational assistant produce diagnoses, clinical interpretations or treatment recommendations.
15. Account security
You are responsible for safeguarding your access credentials and your devices, for keeping your account information up to date, and for notifying us without delay of any suspicion of unauthorised access, by writing to info@helixai.life.
You may not transfer, sell or share an account in a way that compromises the security or privacy of another person. Your account contains health data: treat it accordingly.
16. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise indicated, the design of the website and the application, the brand, the texts, the illustrations, the software, the algorithms, the models, the documentation and all other content created by Helix are the property of Helix or its licensors and are protected by intellectual and industrial property law.
Subject to these Terms, Helix grants you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to access and use the website and the application in accordance with their purpose. No other licence is granted. Third-party names and logos belong to their respective owners.
You may download or export your own data and the results relating to you for your personal use, including sharing them with your healthcare professional.
17. Early-access phase
The service is in an early-access and active development phase. In practice, this means that:
- Features may change, be added or be withdrawn more frequently than in a mature product.
- Interruptions, errors and fixes may occur during normal use.
- Indicators, formulas and content may be adjusted as they are refined, so that the same data may produce a different result after an update.
- We expressly recommend that you do not rely on the application as the only record of your health information.
None of the above limits your statutory rights of conformity as a consumer, nor Helix's obligations that cannot be excluded. The early-access phase explains the context of the service; it is not a waiver of liability.
18. Availability, external links and third-party services
We work to keep the website and the application accurate and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that all content is always complete or up to date.
The service may depend on app stores, authentication providers, cloud infrastructure providers, third-party artificial-intelligence models or links to external material. Helix does not control third-party sites and services and is not responsible for their content, security or privacy practices, which are governed by their own terms and policies. Helix is responsible for its own legal obligations.
19. Service tiers and subscriptions
Helix is offered in a free tier with limited functionality and one or more paid subscription tiers.
What each tier includes. The up-to-date description of the functionality included in the free tier and in each paid plan is shown in the application and on the website before purchase.
Movement of features between tiers. Helix may reorganise which features correspond to the free tier and which to the paid plans. If a change of this kind adversely affects a paid subscription you have active, we will notify you with reasonable advance notice and you may cancel without penalty before it takes effect, with a right to a proportional refund of the part of the period already paid and not enjoyed. Changes to the free tier do not give rise to a right to compensation, although we will endeavour to announce them.
Plans and billing. Monthly and annual subscription plans are offered. The applicable price, the currency, the taxes included, the billing period and the features included are shown before confirming the purchase. All prices are expressed in euros with applicable taxes included.
Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, at the price then in force, until you cancel them. You can check and disable renewal at any time from the subscription settings of your app-store account.
Price changes. If we change the price of an active subscription, we will notify you with reasonable advance notice before it applies to your next renewal, and you may cancel before that date. No price increase will apply to a period already paid.
Cancellation. You may cancel at any time and as easily as you subscribed, from the subscription settings of your store account. You do not need to notify us, justify yourself or observe any notice period. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period: you keep access until that date and you are not charged again. To avoid being charged for the following period, disable renewal before the renewal date, following the store's instructions.
End of subscription. When a paid subscription ends, your account moves to the free tier. Paid features cease to be available, but your data is retained in accordance with the Privacy Policy and you can export it. Cancelling the subscription does not delete your account or your data; for that, see section 30.
20. Purchases through Apple and Google
Subscriptions are purchased by in-app purchase through Apple's App Store or Google Play, depending on the device.
This has practical consequences you should be aware of:
- The transaction is processed through the relevant store and is also governed by that store's terms and by the account you hold with it.
- Managing the subscription (viewing it, changing plan, disabling renewal) is done from the settings of your store account, not from Helix.
- The actual processing of refunds is the store's responsibility. Apple does not allow developers to issue refunds directly: requests are submitted at reportaproblem.apple.com. On Google Play they are submitted through Google Play help.
- Helix does not have access to your payment details or your card.
None of this reduces Helix's obligations towards you. We remain responsible for the service conforming to what was contracted and for your consumer rights as against us. If the store denies a request that you consider justified, write to us at info@helixai.life and we will review it.
Any rights the stores may have against you are governed by their own terms. The store terms do not make Apple or Google responsible for the Helix service or for Helix's privacy obligations.
21. Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from the subscription contract within 14 calendar days of entering into it, without justification and without penalty. This is a statutory right that does not depend on our commercial policy.
How to exercise it. It is enough to tell us unequivocally before the deadline expires, by any means: email to info@helixai.life or a refund request through the app store. The burden of proving that the right was exercised lies with the person exercising it, so we recommend that you keep a record of what you send.
Immediate start. By purchasing a subscription you expressly request that the service begin immediately, and access to paid features is activated upon confirming the purchase.
Effects. We will refund the corresponding amount without undue delay and, in any event, within a maximum of 14 calendar days from receipt of your communication, using the same means of payment. Where the refund must be processed by the app store, the effective time frame may depend on their processes; we will help you manage it.
The free plan. You may stop using it or delete your account at any time, at no cost and without justification, in accordance with section 30.
22. Refunds outside the right of withdrawal
Aside from the right of withdrawal and your statutory rights of conformity, and without this section limiting them:
- If the service does not conform to what was contracted, you have the right to have it remedied and, if this is not possible or is not remedied within a reasonable time, to a price reduction or to termination of the contract with a refund.
- If a change to the service adversely affects you, you have the right to a proportional refund in the cases set out in sections 19, 23, 24 and 27.
- If you voluntarily cancel a subscription mid-period, outside the above cases, the unused part is not refunded.
- Any voluntary goodwill refunds we may grant do not create a right to future refunds, nor do they constitute a waiver of these Terms.
23. Changes and availability of the service
Helix may maintain, update, add, suspend or discontinue features in order to improve the service, address security or legal requirements, or reflect product changes.
Reasonable notice will be given when a substantial change adversely affects an ongoing paid service, unless urgent action is necessary for security or legal reasons. In that case, you may cancel in accordance with section 19.
If we discontinue the service entirely, we will notify you sufficiently in advance for you to export your data, and we will refund the proportional part of subscriptions paid and not enjoyed.
24. Suspension and termination
On your side. You may stop using the website or the application and request deletion of your account at any time, at no cost and without justification.
On our side. Helix may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of:
- a substantial breach of these Terms;
- a security risk to the service or to other users;
- unlawful or fraudulent use;
- non-payment of a subscription; or
- a legal requirement or a request from a competent authority.
Except where there is an immediate security risk, manifest unlawfulness or a legal obligation preventing it, we will tell you the reason and give you a reasonable opportunity to remedy it before terminating access. If we terminate your access without any breach on your part, we will refund the proportional part of the subscription not enjoyed.
After termination you may request the export of your data for a reasonable period, and it will be retained or deleted in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
25. Warranties, liability and their limits
The service is provided with reasonable care and skill. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Helix does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that all results will be free from error.
What is never excluded. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability arising from wilful misconduct, gross negligence, fraud, death or personal injury, liability for defective products, or the mandatory rights available to you as a consumer.
What is limited. Subject to the above:
- Helix is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, nor for loss of profit or loss of opportunity.
- Helix's total liability for any claim arising from the service, on whatever basis, is limited to the amount you have paid to Helix in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. If you have paid no amount, this limitation does not restrict the mandatory rights available to you.
- Helix is not liable for damages arising from use of the service contrary to sections 5 to 11 of these Terms, in particular decisions about your health taken on the basis of application results instead of consulting a healthcare professional.
- Helix is not liable for the inaccuracy of the information you provide.
- Helix is not liable for third-party services outside its control.
26. Indemnity
If a third party brings a claim against Helix as a result of your use of the service in breach of these Terms, applicable law or that third party's rights — for example, by having provided another person's health data without authorisation, or by having presented Helix results as professional medical advice to third parties — you will be liable for the reasonable damages and costs this causes us.
This obligation applies only to the extent that the claim arises from your conduct and not from that of Helix, it does not extend to cases where you acted in good faith in accordance with these Terms, and it does not limit your consumer rights. We will inform you of the claim without delay and give you the opportunity to take part in its defence.
27. Force majeure
Neither party will be liable for a failure to perform caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including widespread outages of infrastructure or connectivity providers, cyberattacks on third parties, natural disasters, armed conflict, general strikes or acts of authority. The affected party will inform the other without delay and will make reasonable efforts to reduce the impact. If the circumstance lasts more than thirty days and affects a paid subscription, you may terminate it with a proportional refund.
28. Data retention and backups
We make periodic backups of the service in accordance with our technical and organisational measures, described in the Privacy Policy. Nevertheless, and with particular reason during the early-access phase, the application must not be your only repository for your health information. Keep your original laboratory reports and export your data periodically.
Nothing in this section limits our obligations regarding the security and integrity of personal data under Regulation (EU) 2016/679, nor your right to portability.
29. Privacy and cookies
Personal data from the website, the early-access list and the application is processed according to the single Privacy Policy, which also explains your rights and how to exercise them. The website's technologies are described in the Cookie Policy.
Helix processes health-related data. The Privacy Policy sets out the legal bases, the recipients, the retention periods, international transfers if any, and the automated decisions and profiling carried out to personalise content.
30. Deleting your account
You can delete your Helix account and the associated personal data from the Profile area of the application.
If you cannot sign in, there is an external procedure at Delete a Helix Account, which sets out what deletion covers, the applicable time limits and the limited information that may be retained by legal obligation.
If you joined the early-access list but never created an account in the application, you can ask us to remove you by writing to info@helixai.life.
Deleting the account does not automatically cancel a subscription purchased through an app store: also disable it from the settings of your store account to avoid subsequent charges.
31. Support
For product, account, billing, privacy or website matters, write to info@helixai.life. We aim to respond within five business days.
On the Support page you will find practical guidance on what to include in a request and what you should never send by email.
Helix support does not provide medical advice or emergency assistance. See section 11.
32. Complaints and dispute resolution
Contact us first. If something has gone wrong, write to us first at info@helixai.life. It is the fastest route.
Official complaint and claim forms. As a company providing services to consumers in Catalonia, Helix has the official forms provided for in Decree 121/2013 of the Generalitat de Catalunya. You can request them by writing to info@helixai.life and we will send them to you in an accessible format.
Consumer bodies. You may address your complaint to the Agència Catalana del Consum of the Generalitat de Catalunya, to the municipal consumer information office in your locality, or to the competent body of your autonomous community.
Alternative dispute resolution. As at the date of this version, Helix is not adhered to the Sistema Arbitral de Consumo or to any other alternative dispute resolution entity, without prejudice to your ability to turn to the consumer bodies indicated or to the courts. If we adhere to any entity in the future, we will indicate this in this section and on the website.
33. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Spanish law.
If you are a consumer, any dispute will be submitted to the courts determined by mandatory procedural and consumer-protection rules, which as a general rule allow you to bring proceedings in the place of your domicile. If you are a consumer resident in another European Union Member State, you retain the protections that cannot be waived under the law applicable to you.
If you contract as a business or professional, and not as a consumer, the parties submit to the courts and tribunals of Barcelona.
34. App-store terms
The licence terms of the store from which you obtained the application may also apply. For Apple distributions, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies, unless a valid custom agreement is presented through App Store Connect.
In relation to the application obtained through Apple or Google: the licence granted to you is non-transferable and for use on devices with the corresponding operating systems; Helix, and not the store, is responsible for the maintenance and support of the application; and the stores are third-party beneficiaries of the terms of this section and may enforce them.
The store terms do not make Apple or Google responsible for the Helix service or for its privacy obligations.
35. General provisions
Partial invalidity. If any provision of these Terms is held to be void or unenforceable, it will be treated as not written and the remainder will retain full validity, being interpreted in the manner closest to the original intention that is lawful.
No waiver. The fact that Helix does not exercise a right provided for in these Terms does not constitute a waiver of it, nor prevent it from being exercised later.
Assignment. You may not assign your contractual position without our prior written consent. Helix may assign the contract in the context of a corporate reorganisation, merger or transfer of business, notifying you in advance and without this reducing your rights; if the assignment is unfavourable to you, you may terminate the contract with a proportional refund.
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy and any specific conditions displayed for a particular feature, constitute the entire agreement between you and Helix on the subject matter they govern.
Survival. Sections 6 to 13, 16, 25 to 28 and 33 to 35 will continue to apply after termination of the contract, to the extent appropriate by their nature.
Notices. Communications from Helix will be sent to the email address associated with your account or by notices in the application. Yours, to info@helixai.life. Keep your email address up to date.
No corporate relationship. These Terms do not create any partnership, joint venture, agency or employment relationship between you and Helix.
Language. The Spanish version of these Terms is the binding version. Any translation is offered as a courtesy and, in the event of any discrepancy, the Spanish text will prevail.
36. Changes to these Terms
The Terms in force, with their update date and version identifier, will always be available at this URL.
Substantial changes will be communicated through an appropriate channel before they take effect where this is required, with a minimum of fifteen days' notice if they affect an ongoing paid service. If you do not accept a change that adversely affects you, you may cancel your subscription before it takes effect with a proportional refund. Continued use after the effective date of a notified change constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by law.
